Web Intelligence Monitoring vs. Google Search

This question has been asked a lot during our demo and presentations.  Let's summarize the differences here:

-Web Intelligence Monitoring is Active while Google Search is Passive

Web intelligence monitoring is to let information continously come to you, while doing google search periodly is to dig and pull info out.  The real time and continuous nature of web intelligence monitoring provides huge competitive advantage.

-Web Intelligence Monitoring is tailored to your needs while Google Search is tilting towards web traffic

Web intelligence monitoring is to monitor specific subjects across various information channels beyond the websites, while the page results shown from Google Search are based on website traffic.  Once Google provides you the website, you still need to search within that website to look for more info per your subject.  Again web intelligence monitoring does all the diging & pulling and push info continously to you.

-Web Intelligence Monitoring SAVES TIME, while Google Search does not

Let's say if you have 10 favirote websites that you are interested to visit on a regular basis, 5 minutes per website visit can be added up to 50 minutes for 10 websites.

If nothing new over there to be seen, it is not a great feeling by just wasting 50 minutes.  Web Intelligence Monitoring prevents this happen.  If nothing new per your subject comes from the web (including these 10 site), your dashboard has nothing to show, thus no time is to be wasted

Here comes the conclusion:  Web Intelligence Monitoring is to let information per your interest come to you continously, while Google Search is about digging and pulling info when you have a chance.  The choice for competitive edge is obvious!
